How we started

Well, it’s a funny thing, actually. Winesters & Co. started out with a group of friends hanging out and drinking wine one night. We were just talking about this and that, when the conversation somehow jumped to the subject of how scary it could be to choose the right wine when a restaurant hands you a wine list that looks more like an encyclopedia. We’ve all been there, right? The girls could maybe get away with it by granting their dates the choice…but let’s face it: nobody likes to look like they know nothing about wine.

There’s something about this alcoholic beverage that says “I’m savvy.” And there simply is not enough events or informational sessions out there providing wine knowledge to a younger (still over 21!) crowd looking to learn just a little more about wine, but in a more casual sense. I mean geez, we don’t want to turn out like some of those wine snobs that think they are so great ​and better than everyone else! And neither do you.

That’s where we step in. Say goodbye to all of the fancy pansy wine stuff irrelevant to your life, and just come chill over a glass of Chardonnay or Merdot! Oh, and if you have no idea what those words mean, don’t worry. We’ll give you a crash course on the language of wine, of course all the while getting you drunk​. Oops, did we just say that? Well, we have to know which wine is what, right? Sometimes we just have to sacrifice [our soberness] for our education. And we’re okay with that.
